Spend the day at Glenstone, a modern art museum located on more than 230 acres in Potomac, Maryland. Roam the all-organic landscape, masterfully designed by Adam Greenspan of Peter Walker & Partners, to experience the more than 8,000 newly planted native trees and a forty-acre meadow of native flowers and grasses. Take in the world-class art and architecture, travel to the operations center to understand how Glenstone achieves its remarkable heating and cooling ratios, and make sure to explore the Pavilions, one of the most energy efficient museum structures anywhere in the world. Set nearly fifty feet into the earth, it is naturally illuminated by the sun and covered with a green roof.

Want to know even more? Chief sustainability officer Paul Tukey, the recipient of the first Green Medal Award from the Garden Writers Association of America, will be on hand to lead group tours throughout the visit.

Lunch is generously provided by Glenstone.

Departure: Tours depart outside the Blue Room Prefunction on the East side of the conference hotel. Please arrive no earlier than 15 minutes prior to departure time.

Additionally, the Association will not be able to accommodate participants driving their own vehicles to/from offsite locations. All attendees must board the bus at the hotel and return with the group at the scheduled times.
