Mikyoung Kim is an international landscape architect and urban designer, and founding principal of Mikyoung Kim Design in Boston, MA. With a uniquely holistic approach, Mikyoung’s body of work has redefined the discipline of landscape architecture, inhabiting the intersection of art and science. Last year, her firm received the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Museum National Design Award and she was awarded the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) National Design Medal. Her studio was recently named one of Fast Company’s ‘Most Innovative Companies’ in the world.
Mikyoung addresses the most pressing environmental and health-related issues, while creating innovative and immersive human experiences. She was named an AD Innovator, and her work has received numerous national awards from the ASLA, the American Institute of Architecture, and the General Services Administration, as well as the American Architecture Prize.
